Forensics Specialist Gonzalez

Forensic Specialist Gonzalez has been a member of the Culver City Police Department for the last seven years. As a Forensic Specialist, she responds to crime scenes, identifies, documents and collects physical and biological evidence to ultimately help link a suspect to the scene of the crime. Although her job is challenging, she loves it because it is exciting, ever-changing and very rewarding knowing that she can assist detectives in solving crimes.

When asked Hispanic Heritage Month means to her, Forensic Specialist Gonzalez shared, "my parents are from Jalisco, Mexico. I always take pride in my Mexican heritage, but during Hispanic Heritage Month I am especially reminded of how many other Hispanic cultures come together, are proud of where we come from and celebrate all the traditions that we have in common. It is about unity, pride, and inspiring others."

Forensic Specialist Gonzalez also shared that Hispanic Heritage Month recognizes her culture, and she loves to see how much of an influence her culture has within the United States and around the world. Gonzalez observes this time to reflect on her love and appreciation for her family and everything they sacrificed to be where they are today. She works hard for her family, and she hopes to inspire others to follow their dreams no matter how difficult they may seem.
