Over the weekend, Culver City Police Explorer Post 401 participated in the Riverside Police Explorer Competition. For two intense days, a team of six of our Police Explorers competed against 34 local, state, and federal agencies from California, testing their physical fitness and mental fortitude.
In the challenging Riverside heat, the Explorers tackled complex police scenarios that assessed their knowledge of the law and fundamental police tactics. On the second day, they faced several physical challenges including a mile run, an obstacle course, and tug-of-war. Despite competing against significantly larger teams, our Explorers excelled and earned awards for their outstanding performance in the “Exigent Response” and “Crisis Intervention” scenarios.
Please join us in congratulating Culver City Explorer Post 401 for their achievements! Their teamwork, perseverance, and never-quit attitude bring great credit upon themselves, Police Explorer Post 401, Culver City Police Department, and the City of Culver City.
This accomplishment would not have been possible without the tireless work and dedicated efforts of the men and women of the Culver City Police Department, who in addition to their regular full-time duties, serve as Advisors to the Explorer program.
