Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

Officer Guardado

Officer Guardado joined the Culver City Police Department in 2024. Born in Honduras, Officer Guardado established his roots in the San Fernando Valley at the age of four. In 2019, he graduated from Birmingham Community Charter High School. After high school, he attended Cal State Northridge (CSUN) and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Sociology. During his time at CSUN, he was involved in a number of non-profit organizations, including the Center for Living and Learning and the Sherman Oaks Senior Center.

Officer Guardado enjoys traveling, fitness, and spending time with his family. Officer Guardado shared that he is grateful and excited to be a part of CCPD and serve the community. He also shared a favorite quote. "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts."

For Officer Guardado, Hispanic Heritage month means being able to represent his community. He recognizes this as an opportunity to connect with more closely with Hispanic communities. He added "being an inclusive department helps build a better work environment."
