The Culver City Police and Fire Departments would like to remind residents and visitors that the sale and possession of all fireworks, including “safe and sane” fireworks, is illegal in Culver City. Violators may be subject to fines and arrest if caught displaying or possessing fireworks.

We all must recognize the potential dangers of using and handling fireworks. The risk of injury, especially to children, is of great concern. Fireworks can negatively impact children, veterans, and pets. In addition, with high temperatures, the danger of fire is ever present. Let's take care and celebrate the Fourth while being considerate of our neighbors.

We encourage residents to seek professional public fireworks shows and enjoy the aerial drone display on Friday, July 5th, at Town Plaza in Downtown Culver City.

Please do not dial 9-1-1 for questions regarding fireworks. If you have questions about fireworks safety, please contact the Culver City Police Department at (310) 253-6208. Do dial 9-1-1 for emergency response.
