Halloween is nearly here Culver City!

We have a few ways you can help us keep trick-or-treaters safe.

Costumes

  • Make sure costumes fit securely to avoid trips/falls
  • Use bright colors
  • Add reflective tape
  • If wearing a mask, make sure you can see/hear clearly

Plan Ahead

  • Know your child's route
  • Never allow children to go alone
  • Make sure an adult chaperone is present
  • Avoid homes that have exterior lights turned off
  • Do not enter a stranger's home

Traffic Safety

  • Use sidewalks
  • Cross streets only in crosswalks
  • Do not run or dart across driveways or streets
  • Drivers, slow down and watch for trick-or-treaters

Candy

  • Parents, check all candy
  • Watch for altered packaging
  • Avoid eating homemade treats from strangers

From all of us at the Culver City Police Department, we wish you a safe and very Happy Halloween!
