Proud Moment for the Culver City Police Department!

We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding performance and dedication of our K9 Unit at the 33rd Annual LVMPD Police K-9 Trials.

Officer Salazar and K9 Storm showcased incredible skill and teamwork among fierce competition from over 80 teams from several states. We couldn’t be prouder of K9 Storm, who earned the highly sought after title of Tough Dog and placed in Tactical Obedience.

Officer Salazar shared his pride in his partner of four years and said, “the achievement reflects the importance of consistent training.” Their expertise is not only critical to officer safety but also enhances community safety, as these remarkable dogs can be deployed and recalled in critical incidents, reducing risk and often providing de-escalation in dangerous scenarios.

We’re incredibly proud of our K9 Unit and their commitment to serving our community with courage and excellence.
