In the late night and early morning hours of Sunday, July 14, and Monday, July 15, Culver City experienced a string of vehicle burglaries in multiple neighborhoods. Culver City Police took twenty reports of vehicle burglary during this time frame. Investigators immediately began working vigorously to identify and locate the suspects involved.

Investigators collaborated with residents to identify the suspects believed to be responsible. On July 17, 2024, Culver City Police located all four suspects and recovered evidence indicating their involvement. The suspects, all male juveniles, were arrested for burglary and transported to the Culver City Police Department Jail.

The success of this investigation would not have been possible without the dedication of our team, which worked around the clock in partnership with residents to bring closure to these cases. We thank all who provided information that led to the swift identification and arrest of the suspects.

Our community's involvement is crucial in preventing such incidents. If possible, park in a secure garage. If a garage is not an option, park in well-lit areas. Remove all items from your vehicle. Leave nothing in plain sight. Make sure all windows are up and doors are secured and locked. Use a motion-sensing alarm system and steering wheel locking device. Remove garage door openers from the vehicle. Your role as a witness is crucial. Please do not confront suspects. Property is replaceable; people are not. Please call us immediately if you hear or see a theft in progress. Provide a location and description of the suspects, their vehicle, and the vehicle plate if possible and safe.
